L'Olivo Cicchetti & Lounge: Authentic Italian Small Plates & Wine Experience in Calgary

We had an excellent vine and dine at l’Olivo. The ciccheti were diverse and represented well the traditional Italian flavours. The pairing with the 6 wines was great. Looking forward to the next event.

We had an amazing experience at this Italian restaurant! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the service was very attentive, and every dish tasted incredible — full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and balanced. You can really feel that everything is made with love and passion. Highly recommend this place — we’ll definitely be coming back! ????????

Heard about L'Olivo only a few days ago, and my friend and I wanted to check it out, especially with chef Di Gennaro being in charge. I had always been impressed by his previous restaurants, like Capo. The staff was great and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the food, but unfortunately thought it didn't quite reach the standards set by his previous restaurants. Would still recommend trying it out, and I would definitely come back at some point. In terms of things we found a bit lacking, we had the bruschetta and thought that the bread could have been crispier. Additionally, would have liked the insalata to be a bit more truffle forward. Even with these small gripes, I would recommend trying L'Olivo out, and I will try then again on the future.

Our server was absolutely impeccable. He walked us through the menu in detail, and his timing was perfect. The service was wonderful, and the food was unbelievably delicious! Every dish was excellent – you can't go wrong with any of them. The portions are modest for each dish, so you can order a variety. I really love this kind of restaurant with small portions – it makes the dining experience completely stress-free.
